Injury Sidelines Pina for Season Thursday, August 20th, 2020 Manny Pina had hoped for the best, but expected the worst. Today, he learned from the Pawtucket medical staff that he would miss the rest of the season. The Pawtucket catcher suffered a fractured knee in an earlier ballgame. He admitted to being discouraged, but said he plans to come back strong next year. In 85 games this season Pina has batted at a .245 pace with 78 hits and 8 home runs. |
