5-for-6 Game for Berti Monday, August 17th, 2020 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Jon Berti today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Security Service Field and paced the Dodgers to a 5-4 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. After his dynamite batting performance, the Oklahoma City second baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Jon Berti struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 9th and hit an RBI triple in the 11th. So far this year Berti is batting .349 with 10 home runs, 31 RBIs and 48 runs scored. |
