Columbus Loses Stapler for Season Friday, August 7th, 2020 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Columbus's Cole Stapler to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 08/05/2020 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Stapler said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Stapler has been out of action since he suffered a damaged elbow ligament. So far this season Stapler has a 9-9 record, 23 starts, 122.1 innings, 111 strikeouts and a 4.78 ERA. |
