Gerber's Strong Week Earns AC Trophy Monday, August 3rd, 2020 At the age of 28, Mike Gerber might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Columbus left fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .567 batting average. For his efforts Gerber collected the American Conference Player of the Week Award. He racked up 17 hits in 30 at-bats, 5 home runs and 15 RBIs last week in 7 games. For the year Gerber is hitting .284 with 21 home runs. His stats include 78 runs batted in and 73 runs scored. |
