American Conference Names Long Jr. Best Batter Monday, July 6th, 2020 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the American Conference, but last week Shed Long Jr. of the Nashville Sounds reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Long Jr. rocked opposing pitching for a .455 average (15-for-33), 2 home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award. In the 2020 season Long Jr. is hitting .294 with 14 home runs. |
