Sky Sox Torpedoed by Karns in 6-0 Loss to Syracuse Saturday, June 13th, 2020 Nathan Karns of the Syracuse Chiefs spun his magic on the Colorado Springs Sky Sox today. He blanked them 6-0 on 3 hits, registering 10 strikeouts and 1 walk. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Karns said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Syracuse skipper said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations." "Nathan pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said. To date this season, Karns has registered 10 starts, 3-1 won-lost mark, 2.83 ERA, 60.1 IP, 57 strikeouts and 15 walks. Opposing teams have hit .256 against him. |
