Charlotte's Feliciano Suspended
Monday, May 11th, 2020
The league commissioner's office has notified the Charlotte Knights that catcher Mario Feliciano has been given a 4-game suspension for his involvement in an incident with the home plate umpire in yesterday's Charlotte-Round Rock game at Dell Diamond. After being called out on a pitch that he deemed a ball, Feliciano aggressively expressed his displeasure and was promptly ejected from the game.

In the league suspension notice, it stated that he was suspended for making an obscene gesture toward the umpires prior to entering the dugout. The league said that type of behavior would not be tolerated.

Feliciano and the Knights were unavailable for comment.

So far this year, Feliciano is batting .265 with 6 home runs and 13 RBIs.
