AC Gives Outstanding Pitcher Award Thursday, October 15th, 2020 Austin Gomber of the Omaha Storm Chasers had a fine 7-5 season in 2020 and today claimed the American Conference Outstanding Pitcher Award. He started 24 times, threw 144.1 innings while collecting 145 strikeouts and fashioned a 2.93 ERA. Gomber allowed only 118 hits, 29 walks and a .222 opponents' batting average. He received 28 first place votes out of a possible 30. Brett Kennedy of the Norfolk Tides finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Dereck Rodriguez of the Omaha Storm Chasers finished third.
