Diaz and Webb Suspended 4 Games
Saturday, July 4th, 2020
During a recent Toronto-New York game at Rogers Centre, Aledmys Diaz of the Blue Jays and Jacob Webb of the Yankees got into an altercation on the field and had to be separated from each other as the benches emptied. Both players knew they would have to face the music and today the league commissioner's office announced their punishments. They have been given 4-game suspensions because of their actions.

Thus far this year Diaz is batting .261 with 13 home runs, 43 RBIs and 41 runs scored.

He has made 14 relief appearances this year with 1 saves. Webb has achieved a 1-0 record while holding opposing hitters to a .099 batting average and posting a 0.42 ERA. He has tossed 21.1 innings, given up 7 base hits, fanned 29 and issued 4 walks.
