Texas Sweeps into the World Series

With a 10-6 win to wrap up the series at Kauffman Stadium, the Texas Rangers have eliminated the Kansas City Royals in the League Championship Series and move on to the World Series.

Texas controlled the series from the outset and won it in a 4-0 sweep.

Andrelton Simmons led the charge offensively for the victors, winning series MVP honors. He posted a .583 batting average, along with a .643 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

"We're not done yet," the MVP said. "There is still a lot to accomplish."

The Texas Rangers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the San Diego Padres - St. Louis Cardinals series. St. Louis leads the series 2 game to 1. The World Series is scheduled to begin on October 20th, 2020.
