No Late-Season Magic Coming: Seattle Out of Playoffs Sunday, September 27th, 2020 Brad Hand said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the Seattle Mariners after they missed the Major League Baseball playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today. Seattle last appeared in the postseason in 2000. This is their 20th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 42 times in their 43-year history. |
