More Injury Problems For Washington's Nestor Cortes Friday, September 25th, 2020 A frustrated Nestor Cortes told reporters today that he would be out an additional 2 weeks after suffering a relapse in his recovery from elbow inflammation. "I thought my recovery was coming along great, but then this happened," the Washington Nationals starting pitcher revealed. "It's disappointing. I expected to be back with the team by now." Thus far this season Cortes has posted a 5-9 record, started 27 games, struck out 138 batters in 134.2 innings and compiled a 4.61 ERA. |
