Santander of Oakland Player of the Week Monday, September 21st, 2020 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the American League, but last week Anthony Santander of the Oakland Athletics reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Santander rocked opposing pitching for a .517 average (15-for-29), 3 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Santander is swinging the bat at a .284 rate with 55 hits in 194 at-bats. To date he has hit 11 home runs, scored 32 runs and driven in 29. |
