Oakland Defeated by Toronto, 3-2
|
The Toronto Blue Jays eked out a 3-2 win versus the Oakland Athletics at Oakland Coliseum. Nobody did more than pitcher Kendall Graveman. He was terrific. At 19-21, the Blue Jays claim second place in the American League East Division.
Toronto relied on the hitting of Donovan Walton to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 3-2. For the game, Walton had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Scot Hughes.
