The Boston Red Sox went home winners at Fenway Park, thanks in large part to starter Tony Gonsolin. Gonsolin stifled the Texas Rangers, enabling Boston to grab the 3-1 win. The Red Sox go to 13-22 with the win.
J.P. Crawford aided the Boston cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Boston manager Matt Spencer.
