Indians Win at New York, 3-2
|
The Cleveland Indians eked out a 3-2 win versus the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Tyler Glasnow. He was terrific. Glasnow got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 5.1 innings. Glasnow allowed 2 runs. Kirby Yates collected save number 10.
It could have been a different outcome for Cleveland, had it not been for Matt Chapman, the 26-year old third baseman . Chapman contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Cleveland up, 1-0.
Glasnow attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The loss drops the Yankees to 17-10.
