Mets Defeat Marlins, 4-3
|
The Mets grabbed a win, 4-3, at Citi Field, overcoming a fine effort from Miami pitcher Johnny Cueto. Cueto went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win puts New York at 12-13.
New York won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. With one out and T.J. Zeuch on the mound for Miami, second baseman Starlin Castro hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Mets fans to their feet.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Castro.
