Reds Lose to Cardinals, 6-1
|
Pitcher Mitch Keller was sensational for the St. Louis Cardinals in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Cincinnati Reds. Keller picked up the win, and it was well-earned. St. Louis is off to a hot start at 16-7.
The Cardinals got a lift from right fielder Austin Meadows, who in the bottom of the first hit a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Cardinals on top, 3-0.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Keller. "Successful pitchers do it."
