Clevinger Now 3-1 After Subduing Indians
|
The Detroit Tigers went home winners at Progressive Field, thanks in large part to starter Mike Clevinger. Clevinger stifled the Cleveland Indians, enabling Detroit to grab the 1-0 win. Earning his 1st save of the year was Zack Britton. The loss puts Cleveland at 11-8.
Clevinger, who was born in Jacksonville, Florida, threw 106 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no runs.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Clevinger.
