Rangers Get Hard-Earned Win, Stop Yankees, 7-6
DJ LeMahieu had a good game, but he could not keep the New York Yankees from falling, 7-6, to the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The New York third baseman went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs in the loss. Texas reliever Jake Diekman picked up the win, raising his record to 1-2. Caleb Ferguson was tagged with the loss. Texas, now 11-6, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Joc Pederson was the walk-off hero for Texas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rangers left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Pederson described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
