Cardinals Deal Brewers 4-1 Defeat
|
St. Louis and Milwaukee duked it out and the Cardinals came out victorious.
St. Louis right-hander Chris Bassitt pitched his team to victory over the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park. The final score was 4-1. Bassitt got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Bassitt allowed 1 run.
It could have been a different outcome for St. Louis, had it not been for Luis Urias, the 22-year old shortstop . Urias contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put St. Louis up, 2-1.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Urias said.
St. Louis, with the win, is 3-1.
