Giants Fall Short, 4-3, at Los Angeles
|
San Francisco got a terrific performance from pitcher Hunter Harvey, but it wasn't enough to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers. Los Angeles won the Dodger Stadium contest, 4-3. Harvey threw 5 innings allowing 1 run for the losing team. The loss puts San Francisco at 2-1.
In the bottom of the seventh, Los Angeles shortstop Jose Peraza gave his team the lead. With no one out and the bases loaded, El Llanero hit his 1st double of the year. San Francisco pitcher Chris Devenski surrendered it. With that, the Dodgers jumped in front, 3-2.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said San Francisco skipper Josh Bob.
