The Miami Marlins took New York pitcher Dakota Hudson's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Marlins Park. The final score had Miami getting past the Mets, 4-3. Hudson went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 2. Miami reliever Emmanuel Clase picked up the win, raising his record to 4-3. Giovanny Gallegos was tagged with the loss. Jordan Hicks earned his 27th save in 30 chances.
Miguel Andujar aided the Miami cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 2 for 4 with a double.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Andujar said.
The Marlins, now 77-83, have won 5 in a row.
