Pittsburgh Pirates starter Michel Baez turned in an exceptional performance against the Cincinnati Reds at PNC Park, resulting in a Pittsburgh win, 2-1. The Reds have now dropped 5 straight.

The Pirates got a lift from left fielder Yasmany Tomas who had a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second inning off Drew Smyly. It was his 4th home run of the season and put Pittsburgh in front, 2-0.
