Giants Snatch 4-3 Win
|
San Francisco center fielder Austin Slater played a vital role in his team's 4-3 triumph over Milwaukee. He went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for San Francisco. San Francisco pitcher Hunter Harvey got the win. He's now 6-7. Yusei Kikuchi was tagged with the loss. Joakim Soria notched his 1st save in 2 chances.
With San Francisco leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Slater hit a fastball from Yusei Kikuchi for a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Giants ahead, 4-1.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Milwaukee manager Danny Rhoads said following the tough loss.
The Giants now have a record of 53-106.
