The Houston Astros had to overcome a fine performance from New York pitcher Walker Buehler to grab a 2-1 win at Yankee Stadium. Buehler allowed 2 runs over 8.1 innings. Trevor Bettencourt, now 8-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. The Astros saw their record improve to 73-86.

Trey Mancini aided the Houston cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder was 3 for 4 with 3 singles.
