|
Boston center fielder Mike Trout had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 7-6. Colton Murray snagged the win in relief. In 1.2 innings, the right-hander allowed 3 runs on 2 hits. He's now 1-3 on the season. Edwin Diaz earned his 32nd save in 34 chances.
Jedd Gyorko, the Boston designated hitter, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 4-2, Red Sox. For the game, Gyorko was 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Trout told a Boston Times reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
