Profar has 3 hit night, Ignites Kansas City Offense

The Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Kansas City second baseman Jurickson Profar was a significant contributor in his team's 11-4 triumph over the Cleveland Indians. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Kansas City. Kansas City reliever Jose Alvarado picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Kenta Maeda was saddled with the loss. Jairo Diaz, credited with the save, is now 3 for 6 in save opportunities.
Profar contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Kansas City in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Profar took a curveball from Kenta Maeda and stroked the home run to right. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Royals to leap in front, 3-2.
"We take it day by day here," said Profar, "and today was a good one for us."
With the win, Kansas City upped its record to 74-53.
