Yankees Take Nail-Biter Over Rays
Despite a great performance by Tampa Bay center fielder Kevin Kiermaier, the New York Yankees defeated the Rays by the score of 8-7 at Yankee Stadium. Kiermaier went 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. New York reliever Shane Greene got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Ken Giles was tagged with the loss. With the win, the Yankees have a record of 66-61.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when New York second baseman Tony Kemp, facing Ken Giles, had a solo home run. It gave the Yankees the 8-7 win.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Jeremiah Coggins.
