Multi-HR Day for Morrison as Astros Overpower Blue Jays, 10-5
|
The Houston Astros defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 10-5, at Minute Maid Park today. Leading the charge for Houston was first baseman Logan Morrison. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. The victory puts Houston at 47-68.
Houston took a 8-5 lead on Trey Mancini's 16th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Toronto pitcher Danny Barnes in the bottom of the seventh.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Morrison told the Houston Citizen. "It's as simple as that."
