Diamondbacks Come Back Late to Top Astros, 4-2
|
The Houston Astros got a superb performance from pitcher Brusdar Graterol. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Arizona. The Diamondbacks won the game, 4-2. Graterol threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball. Arizona reliever Kodi Whitley picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Brandon Brennan was saddled with the loss. The victory gives Arizona a record of 65-49.
Arizona took a 3-2 lead on Ryan McMahon's 19th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which McMahon hit in the top of the eighth, left Houston pitcher Brandon Brennan shaking his head.
"We did a lot of things right," said McMahon.
