Angels Come Up Short at Texas, 2-1
In a tight game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Texas Rangers, nobody was more important for the winners than Ryan Braun. Braun was masterful in the 2-1 win. Diego Castillo was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 12 of 13 save opportunities. The first-place Rangers have won 4 in a row.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Braun, who finished 4th in the NL in wins above replacement with 8.0 in 2009, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Rangers into the lead, 2-0.

Braun called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
