The Texas Rangers got a strong performance from pitcher Yonny Chirinos, who stymied the Houston offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Texas leads the American League West Division by 15½ games.

Texas took a 4-2 lead on Bryce Harper's 26th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Houston pitcher Art Warren in the bottom of the eighth.

"I thought we played a nice game," Chirinos told the Texas Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
