Cardinals Rough Up Giants, 10-3
|
Getting offensive support from Ozzie Albies, the St. Louis Cardinals topped the San Francisco Giants, 10-3. Albies hit 3 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 4 for the Cardinals. St. Louis now has a record of 66-37 with the win.
St. Louis pitcher Mitch Keller contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a curveball into right-center field for a run-scoring double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Cardinals ahead, 2-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said St. Louis manager Tyler Wagner.
