The Cleveland Indians topped the Minnesota Twins, 7-4, in American League action at Progressive Field. The standout performance belonged to Cleveland pitcher and Mansfield, Texas, native Noah Syndergaard. Cleveland, at 56-33, is 4½ games up in the American League Central Division.

Danny Jansen was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Cleveland. The 25-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second.
