Mets Lose Again, 4-0, to Cubs
|
Starting pitcher Zach Plesac was a major factor in the 4-0 Chicago Cubs triumph over the New York Mets. Plesac went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-1. The Mets, now 30-44, have lost 8 straight.
In the bottom of the fifth, with the game tied, New York allowed the Cubs to go up, 2-0, on a New York error.
"It feels good to get this one," Plesac told the Chicago Citizen.
