Rangers Top Royals, 6-0, Behind Lester
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers get after it.
Jon Lester never let the Royals get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Rangers to a win, 6-0. The Rangers have an impressive 49-26 record.
Lester, the Texas left-hander, went 7 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits. He collected 9 strikeouts.
"I liked his command," said Texas manager Jake Storiale. "Jon was throwing strikes."
