The Cincinnati Reds picked up a win at Wrigley Field, taking down the Chicago Cubs, 5-2. Starting pitcher Danny Salazar was a big reason why. Rex Brothers converted his 12th save in 13 tries. At 27-31, the Reds find themselves in 4th place in the National League Central Division.

Cincinnati used the timely hitting of Chad Pinder to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Reds ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
