Tampa Bay and Toronto duked it out and the Rays came out victorious.
The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Toronto Blue Jays by a score of 4-2. designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach deserved the lion's share of the credit. Vogelbach was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Rays. Ken Giles earned the save for Tampa Bay, his 12th of the year.
Vogelbach had a big hit for Tampa Bay with two out in the bottom of the third. With Tampa Bay leading 2-1, Vogelbach hit a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Rays up, 4-1.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Tampa Bay manager TJ Barnaba.
The victory puts Tampa Bay at 23-34.
