Royals Top Angels, 2-0, Behind Nola
|
In a tight game between the Kansas City Royals and the Los Angeles Angels, pitcher Aaron Nola was terrific on the mound. The Kansas City right-hander helped his team to the 2-0 win. Taylor Guilbeau got the save, the 11th for him this season. The victory gives Kansas City a record of 27-22.
Nola earned the win, going 7 strong innings for Kansas City. The native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 7. Los Angeles hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"Aaron was throwing free and easy," said Kansas City manager Bryce Shuck.
